Welcome from Medical Education Director Zone 2

Welcome to Zone 2 of the Horizon Health Network.  This region has become a center of excellence in teaching and education and we are excited to have you contribute to the medical education program.  The opportunities are numerous including tutor and lecture involvement with Dalhousie New Brunswick’s preclinical curriculum as well as the preceptor role for both preclinical electives and our clinical clerks.  In addition, there are almost 200 residents that enter our health care system each academic year knowing they will be provided with outstanding clinical experience, opportunities and teaching.  Specifically, we offer site based programs in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Integrated Family Medicine-Emergency Medicine along with many core and elective experiences within 17 teaching departments.

The Department of Medical Education strives to help make your involvement as trouble-free as possible.  The staff ensures high quality organization planning.  Our door is always open to discuss scheduling, policy, program delivery or specific concerns that may arise.  There are monthly meetings with the Heads of Teaching where your concerns can also be directed.  Please don’t hesitate to direct your questions and concerns to us and trust we can provide resolution.
