It is required that personal clothing and footwear worn with the lab coat reflect your professional status. Please remember to bring your lab coats with you, as we do not maintain a supply for distribution. OR Boots, hats, etc. are not to be worn outside the Surgical Suite. Lab coats, OR greens, or hospital clothing of any kind is not to be worn off the premises for infection control reasons and because it may give the public the impression that the wearer is on duty. Regular laundering is essential to keep uniforms from becoming heavily colonized with hospital microorganisms.
